Given the number of books she reviewed, it is hard to see how she could not have fallen into obvious habits. It is also hard for me not to feel some pity for those in her trade: excellent books come along only so often, but deadlines come every week.
But every book is a different adventure. I had to review one every week for several years and I loved it. Of course, maybe what I wrote would show similar reliance on stock phrases.
